Iris Emefa Kutorkor Niikwei is a mid-career Ecologist with experience in Wildlife Conservation and Remote sensing data collection, management and analysis.

Iris has volunteered in projects like the KNUST Biodiversity Inventory project, Biodiversity monitoring in Awudua 1Rubber plantation and forest structure in Buabeng fiema. She was also involved in a project funded by The Rufford Foundation “Conservation of the critically endangered Talbotiela gentii in Ghana”. Iris seeks to identify environmental and natural resources issues and find the best-fit solutions through field observations, surveys, community engagement and application of GIS. She has a Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc. Natural Resources Management (Wildlife and Range Management option) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
